Higher Power
If you are one of those people that doesn't believe in a higher power, you may not get much from this page, I have had an interesting relationship with my higher power and yes, I refer to this higher power as God. I kinda don't understand those who think we're it, did a human make the mountains or the seas? I don't think so, just that alone assures me there is a higher power. You can call this higher power by many names, but to deny it's existence seems inconceivable to your humble website author! The more we're able to listen to that little voice in our head, our intuition, the more we're connected and fear just evaporates, yay for that!
Let's not confuse religion with spirtuality, I spent a lot of time in houses of worship where the majority of the congregation were not spiritual and highly intuitive spiritual folks who never stepped foot in a church.
This isn't about an organized religion which to me seems a human construct, it's about spirituality. Don't get me wrong, if you are in a religious organization and it gives you joy, that's great, I'm hoping this will help folks trust their instincts, the ones that eminate from God through your heart. kind of like this website, I was just kinda called to try to help others feel better, to share what I've learned, if it helps one person, I've done something right!
You + Higher Power = You're Never Alone

Suggestions for Connecting to Your Higher Power
1. When you have a nagging thought, instead of shrugging it off, ask yourself why does this thought keep occuring, should I listen to it? The answer is usually - YES!
2. Don't disregard your dreams, could also be your higher power reaching out.
3. Be open to the ideas of what others deem their higher power, maybe there's something there that's worth exploring. Religion often dictates the idea their denomination is correct while every other religion is not, I find that limiting.
4. Read articles and books or listen/watch to podcasts about how others have found their way, also the obstacles they encountered.
5. Be a person of good moral values, it's pretty easy, do onto others, think about how your actions will impact them. If it's not in a spirit of love and enlightenment, maybe reconsider your actions. Yes, I am a firm believer in karma!!
6. Meditation - when you try to NOT think, it's amazing the insightful thoughts you will have, pay attention to them.
7. Life is change, the sooner you accept this and learn to adjust accordingly, the better you'll feel.
8. Synchronicity - a meaningful coincidence, don't write these off, it may be your higher power reaching out.
