Apple Cider Vinegar
I absolutely LOVE Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), it has so many health benefits top among them in my opinion is reducing inflammation in the body. it's been used for centuries for both medicine and in recipes. Regular vinegars are NOT the same, ACV has fermented apples (no, you won't get tipsy) as the alcohol has been converted into acetic acid which is known for its various health properties to include antimicrobial and antioxidant effects. You want to look for organic ACV with the "mother" in it (I love Bragg ACV). Mother is a byproduct of yeast and bacteria, it's spongelike or stringy and does have a disgusting consistency to it rather like egg drop soup, but that's where the good stuff lives like natural probiotics.

Evidence of health benefits of ACV:
1. Helps achy joints, a natural version of NSAIDs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) which can have side effects like liver damage
2. Skin toner, helps with acne, rashes, bug bites, toe fungus and burn repair
3. Helps maintain normal blood sugar levels and can enhance weight loss
4. May help lower cholesterol and blood pressure
5. Improves diabetes symptoms
6. Can help kill bacteria
7. Digestive & Immune support
Ways I have used ACV (always dilute with clean water):
1. Drink it - don't drink it straight as it can be too acidic on your teeth, I mix it half and half with good clean water and just take a few sips. I usually consume about 4 tablespoons of my ACV/Water mix. per day.
2. Treatment of minor burns.
3. Removal of seborrheic keratosis - those fun rough bumps that are wart-looking but aren't contagious.
4. Toner - After makeup removal and before moisturizer (I love coconut oil as a moisturizer)
5. Marinade and salad dressing
6. Antiseptic
Full disclosure: I am not a nutritionist or doctor, don't go gulping gallons of straight ACV, it can harm your teeth, esophagus and cause digestive issues (a little goes a long way) this is based on my research and are my opinions, please do your own research and contact a nutritionist or medical professional (especially if you're on some sort of medication, want to check for possible interactions) for more information.
